Are you looking to make a real difference in your community? We are currently looking for empathetic and passionate Support Workers to work within our Community Services.
We are looking for a Support Worker available for an overnight shift in Kaikoura, from 8pm Friday to 1pm Saturday.
What does a Support Worker do?
As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:
- Meal preparation
- Community outings and integration
- Giving medication
- Personal cares (showering, toileting etc)
- Home management
- Bowel cares, Manual handling, and hoist transfers
